A timeline of major events - the contextual framework for the story.
1975.08.08 - Sothi Henson is born on Bandar.
1978.03.34 - Sothi Allesandra is born on Bandar.
1978.04.13 - Aranik Kayem is born on Bandar.
1979.10.10 - Under the command of newly-appointed Grand General Daevo Mijar, the Siirkin Navy exerts control over the Gorovaa system, adding it as an economic colony.
1980.01.15 - Caetu Cyrija is born on Bandar.
1986.07.27 - The Siirkin Navy adds the Yej'jado system as an economic colony. Yej'jado's acquisition is highly questionable as an "economic revitalization effort", given Yej'jado's healthy economy. Many in the Senate are beginning to fear the growing Siirkin "empire".
1988.01.01 - Aranik Kayem begins training to become a Bandarin Guardian.
1990.01.01 - Elder Bosnn Trovyr A'Bandar expresses his wish to the Laon Dae'a council to take a spiritual voyage outside of the Bandar System.
1990.05.29 - Sothi Henson meets and befriends Aranik Kayem.
1992.01.02 - The pilgrimage of Trovyr A'Bandar begins.
1992.09.12 - The Bandarin colony of Lywwondar ("New Home") is founded by Trovyr A'Bandar.
1996.03.10 - Sothi Allesandra leaves with 21 others aboard a Bandarin passenger transport to travel to Lywwondar.
1996.02.10 - Allesandra's ship is ambushed and captured by pirates from the Towaak Clan. The cargo is seized and the passengers and crew are taken as prisoners.
1996.03.16 - Allesandra's ship has not arrived at Lywwondar on time, nor has any word of delay arrived. It is declared missing. A search party from Lywwondar is dispatched and word is sent back to Bandar.
1996.03.20 - The messenger from Lywwondar arrives at Bandar with news of the missing ship.
1996.03.21 - The Lywwondarin search party picks up the distress signal and finds the drifting beacon. Meanwhile on Bandar, another search party is launched, comprised of both Bandarin and Klylkeen ships. Among them is the Bandarin, Sothi Henson and the Klylkeen, Serrazelgobaa.
1996.03.24 - The Lywwondarin search party arrives at the location of the attack. The captured Bandarin ship has left a trail of leaking engine element. The search party begins to follow the trail.
1996.03.25 - The Lywwondarin and Bandarin search parties rendezvous and continue to follow the trail toward the pirate frontier.
1996.03.26 - The engine trail has fully dissipated, but the search party continues in its path. They are now moving into Pirate Space.
1996.03.30 - The search party is attacked by a pirate ambush. Klylkeen Cruisers prove formidable opponents, however, and the aggressors are sent into retreat.
1996.04.05 - In another failed ambush, a pirate assaultship is captured and its five surviving crew members taken aboard the lead Klylkeen Cruiser. Among them is a young alien named Idynn.
1996.04.06 - After several weeks of hardship and increasingly formidable pirate assaults, the Bandarin search parties return home, saddened by their loss. However, Sothi Henson departs with his ship, the Stormcrow, to continue the search. He is accompanied by a small crew, as well as the unlikely addition of the pirate, Adeia, and the Klylkeen, Serrazelgobaa.
1996.05.28 - After a rough month and a half in the Pirate Frontier, the Stormcrow, with the help of Adeia, locates the captured Bandarin transport. The whereabouts of its passengers and crew, however, remain unknown.
1996.10.12 - The Stormcrow locates and liberates 7 of the 22 missing Bandarins from a pirate merchant.
1996.10.30 - The Stormcrow arrives on Bandar with the 7 rescued Bandarins. Henson and his crew meet with mixed reactions from the Bandarins, who are overjoyed to welcome back the rescued Bandarins, but greatly disconcerted to see a Bandarin ship outfitted with weapons of war (with a Klylkeen crewmember and a pirate passenger, no less). The Stormcrow departs to continue the search.
1996.10.36 - The Stormcrow lands on Lywwondar, where Henson visits his uncle Sothi Raebyn.
1997.05.30 - The Stormcrow locates and rescues (by force) 2 missing Bandarins.
1997.10.36 - Aranik Kayem becomes One of the Guardian Order. He is bonded with a Spirit of the Forest and Wind and is presented his Banstone sword.
